First full weekend of each month\, steam train rides are ava ilable from the restored Sheffield Railway Station at Sheffield. REDWATER CREEK STEAM AND HERITAGE SOCIETY currently has over 1km of track and full rail safety accreditation under the Tasmanian Government’s Rail Safety Act to operate our heritage railway. Our steam train is hauled by a 1906 Krau ss 610mm gauge loco and consists of Tasmanian heritage coaches – a hundred years old and still going strong!
