DESCRIPTION:First full weekend of each month\, steam train rides are availa
ble from the restored Sheffield Railway Station at Sheffield. REDWATER CRE
EK STEAM AND HERITAGE SOCIETY currently has over 1km of track and full rai
l safety accreditation under the Tasmanian Government’s Rail Safety Act to
operate our heritage railway. Our steam train is hauled by a 1906 Krauss
610mm gauge loco and consists of Tasmanian heritage coaches – a hundred ye
ars old and still going strong!\nWhile there you can also see some of our
other steam machinery working\, and enjoy some real coffee and hot chocola
te in the updated station cafe! Why not grab yourself a copy of The Railto
n-Roland Branch Line\, the updated history of the Sheffield Railway\,for $
15.00 – a copy of our documentary DVD Sweet Running Machines for $23.00 –
